Precautions for installation and maintenance of LED explosion-proof lights

Time:2023-08-23 Views:0

LED explosion-proof lamp is a type of explosion-proof lamp, with the same principle as explosion-proof lamp. However, the light source is an LED light source, which refers to various specific measures taken to prevent the ignition of surrounding explosive mixtures such as explosive gas environment, explosive dust environment, gas gas environment, etc. LED explosion-proof lights are currently the most energy-efficient explosion-proof lighting fixtures, widely used in oil fields, power plants, chemical plants, petroleum, and military.

1. Regularly eliminate dust and dirt accumulation on the shell of explosion-proof lighting fixtures, improve the lighting efficiency and heat dissipation performance of the fixtures. The cleaning method can be based on the protective ability of the lamp shell, using water spray (with a mark above the shade on the lamp) or wiping with a damp cloth. When washing with water spray, the power should be cut off, and it is strictly prohibited to use dry cloth to wipe the plastic shell (transparent part) of the lamp to prevent static electricity.

2. Check the transparent parts for signs of foreign object impact, and whether the protective net is loose, detached, corroded, etc. If any, it should be discontinued and repaired and replaced in a timely manner.

3. If the light source is damaged, the light should be turned off in a timely manner and replacement should be notified to prevent the ballast and other electrical components from being in an abnormal state for a long time due to the inability of the light source to start.

4. If there is water accumulation in the lamp chamber of a lamp used in a humid environment, it should be promptly removed, and sealing components should be replaced to ensure the protective performance of the shell.

When opening the lampshade, follow the warning sign requirements, cut off the power, and then open the cover.

6. After opening the cover, it is necessary to check whether the explosion-proof joint surface is intact, whether the rubber seal has become hard or sticky, whether the wire insulation layer has turned green and carbonized, and whether the insulation and electrical components have deformation and scorch marks. If these problems are found, they should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner.
